He appeared foolish to many as he went against the flow to obey Gods voice for his life, rather than listening to the masses. Similarly, times are tough for many of us right now in this global financial meltdown. The question is: whom are we listening to? While we are to be wise, plan our lives, and be good stewards of what God had blessed us with, we need to be careful that the constant news of doom and gloom does not cause us to drown out the voice of God speaking to us. God can and is willing to bless us in spite of the current situation. I believe that this is the greatest time for us as children of God, as we walk in obedience to His voice and allow him to bless us so that we can be a blessing to others. We can be Gods voice of hope to the world as people despair like never before. In his book, Lloyd has captured the essence of living a full, blessed life during any season of your life. He uses the story of Isaac to exemplify how it is indeed possible to be blessed, joyful and productive in any climate because our God is not limited by any circumstance. I pray that as you read you will realize that you are a conduit-blessed to go forward and be a blessing- and the problems that you experience will only serve to make you stronger and the victory sweeter.
